Monitronics honored for charitable donations

On December 19, the Little Elm Area Food Bank (LEAFB) board and volunteers took time to say thank you and honor major contributors to the food bank before beginning the distribution of Christmas food baskets that day.

Monitronics was one of those honored and Mary Jensby, Director of the Monitoring Center, was in attendance, accepting a “check” for 35,000 “thank yous.” This year, Monitronics collected more than 500 items per floor/building and donated $900, making our total cash and food items valued at $13,622.

The LEAFB began more than 20 years ago, when those in need had to travel to Denton or Dallas to get help. It is the only nonprofit service agency that provides food assistance to households in the Little Elm area.
